Points of Presence (PoPs) in Singapore
China Telecom has built 3 PoPs in Singapore to serve the carrier and enterprise markets so as to ensure requirements for diversity, redundancy and proximity are met.
Today, there are PoPs in Global Switch, Equinix SG1 and Singapore Exchange (SGX).
We operate a co-location hosting facility in Global Switch and Equinix SG1 PoP with a full suite of China Telecom network services supported by 24 x 7 maintenance in direct connection to Tuas Landing Station and Katong Landing Station.
The SGX PoP is targeted at the financial industry by enabling customers to enjoy the shortest latency to reach the Stock Exchange of Singapore. China Telecom provides low latency solutions from Singapore to various major global financial hubs.
Since 2015, China Telecom has activated multiple 100Gbps services among its PoP in Singapore and they are all linked in a meshed configuration.
China Telecom Singapore obtained its Facilities-Based Operations (FBO) license granted by Info-Communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) on 12th June 2008.
Singapore is an important business hub for Southeast Asia and the entire Asia Pacific region. New submarine cables are landing in Singapore regularly to meet the increasing bandwidth demands.
China Telecom is also an active partner in such submarine cable projects and investments.
China Telecom owns capacities in many cable systems such as APCN2, SJC and SMW3, SMW4 and SMW5. In addition, APG and BBG+EIG will be launched in mid-June 2016. China Telecom has also leased capacity from other cable system partners such as EAC and TGA-IA.

Account Manager Enterprise Market
1、To achieve sales, revenue target by identifying and securing business opportunities from prospective customers.
2、To identify and develop new business opportunities, develop a portfolio of key customers in major local and multinational companies.
3、To establish, develop and maintain effective business relationships with nominated accounts and develop long term partnership with them.
4、To formulate a Sales & Marketing Strategy and assist Head of Dept. to deploy effective marketing events to our target customers。
5、To review & analyze the market situation and report to senior management periodically.
1、Minimum 3 years sales experience in Telecom industry with proven sales track record.
2、Sound knowledge in selling IPLC, IEPL, MPLS IPVPN, IP related products and ICT Solutions/Services such as IDC and Call Centre businesses.
3、China Market Experience will be preferable.
4、Good command of both spoken and written English. Fluency in English is a prerequisite for this role.
5、Proficiency in other languages such as Chinese will be an added advantage.
6、Excellent interpersonal, organization, negotiation and presentation skills.
7、Positive mindset, result-oriented, high level of initiative and integrity.
8、Occasional travel is required.
1、Responsible for the submarine cable network and relevant DWDM backhaul monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
2、Responsible for the Transmission network, International Private Leased Circuit and International Ethernet Private Line network service implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
3、Responsible for project supervision during submarine cable system installation and upgrade.
4、Responsible for the fault handling second line support.
5、Manage the transmission network resources.
6、On call standby is required during non-office hours.
1、Deploma in Computer Science or Communication or related subjects.
2、Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in telecom industr.
3、Familiar with configuring and troubleshooting of SDH equipment.
4、Working experience in submarine cable industry is preferable.
5、Experience in configuring and troubleshooting of DWDM equipment.
6、Excellent communication and customer service skills in both written and verbal English and Mandarin.
